Cleaning & Maintenance Tips
Fan Blades Cleaning

By using soft cloth & non-abrasive detergent to clean dust on fan blade surface regularly to maintain hygiene.
*Do not bend blades while cleaning or wobbling will occured.

Bypass Refulator Switch

When replace old regulator fan to our remote fan, you should bypass regulator switch during installation.

Changing of remote control's battery

If remote control is not working, it may due to battery drain. PLease change your battery based on its capacity. Take off battery if not using for longer periods of time to prevent battery from leaking.

Safety cable installation

Prioritiza your safety with safery cable install on the ceiling fan. Making the safest in your living environment.


Troubleshooting
Wobbles

  • Ensure that all screws securing the fan blades are tightened.
  • Ensure all fan blades are aligned.
  • If you have multiple ceiling fans installed, make sure they are not less than 2 meters away.
  • If the fan blade is damaged, contact the after sales service center for replacement. If the damage does not originate from the manufacturer, a fee will be charged.

Noisy

Check all installations. If it is loose, tighten it.

Jerks upon startup

This is a normal phenomenon, as the power is passed through a three-phase brushless DC motor without affecting performance.

No airflow

Make sure it is not turning in the “reverse” direction.

Fan not functioning

  • Make sure all wires are connected correctly.
  • If the voltage is lower than 140V or exceeds 270V for more than 5 seconds, the motor will automatically cut off the power supply. When the voltage returns to normal, it will turn on automatically.

Remote control not functioning

When the remote control button is pressed, the LED indicator flashes, indicating that the battery voltage is too low, please replace the battery with a new one.

During high speed, the fan turning fast and then slow down

This is normal as the motor is not only protected by a voltage regulator, it is also protected by an additional thermal sensor where it will limit the motor temperature from rising to not more than 75°C. It is to increase the life span of the motor.


Cleaning & Maintenance Tips
Surface Cleaning

By using soft cloth & non-abrasive detergent to clean oil and stain on surface regularly to maintain hygiene.

Charcoal Filter

Recommended to replace it at least once a year to ensure peak performance. Charcoal filter is non-washable, you can purchase it with our after-sales department.

Oil Filter Cleaning

Empty the oil filter regularly and clean with warm water and non-abrasive detergent to maintain the suction efficiency.

Hood Motor

Contact our after-sales department for motor servicing & maintenance at least once a year to ensure consistent suction and performance.


Tips
How to choose the right cooker hood for my kitchen?

It is depending on your cooking style and kitchen layout. Bear in mind that your cooker hood size should be wider or match the width of your hob.
Some factors you need to consider are:

Where is the battery box of the glass hob located at?

Normally the battery box is underneath of the glass hob

What is the size of the battery used for the glass hob?

Flame Is Auto Cut Off
Why the burner's flame will be auto cut-off after turning on the gas valve?

  • Your gas valve turn on time not long enough, make sure you turn on and hold the gas valve about 5 to 8 seconds.
  • Themocouple is faulty. You need to call service center in order to get experienced technician to get your glass hob repaired.

  • Themocouple is misaligned. You can try to adjust the themocouple into correct position.


No Sparking
Why glass hob no sparking?

  • Please check battery box is there any battery is placed within battery box.
  • If battery is placed into battery box and still no sparking, please replace it with new battery and try again OR check whether the battery is placed correctly
  • If battery is confirmed working, please listen the glass hob is there any snapping sound.

  • If snapping sound is heard, then you may see the ignition point is sparking.

  • If no snapping sound -Snapping sound: https://youtu.be/1ZK4Svbi3lo is heard with working battery is placed, then the ignition coil within the glass hob is faulty.
    You need to call service center in order to get experienced technician to get your glass hob repaired.
  • The ignition point is dirty. Use green sponge with some soap water to clean the ignition point.
  • If snapping sound is heard but still no sparking is seen at the ignition point as below:

    Or the ignition point wire is disconnected


Yellow Flame
Why does yellow flame appear at the burner?

  • You should adjust the air damper in order to turn the yellow flame to be blue flame.
  • Your burner ring or burner cap is dirty or clogged with stains, you can clean it green sponge with some soap water.

Air damper is located at the bottom of the Glass Hob


Safety First

  • Check gas regulator and hose time to time
    Use only equipment approved by SIRIM. It is encouraged to change the gas regulator every 5 years and hose every 2 years.
  • Check leakage with soap water
    If there are bubbles, remove gas regulator and bring the cylinder to an area with good ventilation.
  • Odd smells mean gas leakage
    Commonly described as resembling that of onions, durian or cooked cabbage. Switch off all sources of the fire and do not operate electrical appliances.
  • Always ensure good ventilation
    Do not store gas cylinder in an unventilated area and never leave cooking unattended.
  • Keep a safe distance
    Make sure the distance between the gas cylinder and store is 1.0 – 1.5 meters. The store or any other heat source must be placed away from the cylinder.

Cleaning & Maintenance Tips

Gas Hob Surface (Glass)
Glass surface is easy to clean. Make sure to use only soft cloth / sponge with non-abrasive detergent to avoid damage / scratch the surface.


Gas Hob Surface (Stainless Steel)
Clean by using soft cloth / sponge with non-abrasive detergent as detergent with acidic nature might damage / scratch the stainless steel surface.


Clean Up Spill As Soon As It Occurs
Do not use cold water on hot surface as it will create thermal shock that can reduce the life span of the glass. Handle carefully when surface is hot.


Cleaning of Burner Ring & Stand
Use soft sponge with non-abrasive detergent to do regular cleaning. Remember to let dry before placing it back to the hob.

Should I choose Glass Hob or Stainless Steel Hob?

Here are the factors you might want to consider:

  • Maintenance – Stainless Steel is easier to maintain and is more forgiving to impact resistance.
  • Durability – Stainless Steel by nature is more robust compared to glass, but are more prone to scratches. With proper care, tempered glass surface can last a long time too.
  • Aesthetic – Both surfaces cater to suit different kitchen or cabinet designs, be it modern, sophisticated or minimalist.

Cleaning & Maintenance Tips

Glass Surface Cleaning
Glass surface is easy to clean. Make sure to use only soft cloth / sponge with non-abrasive detergent to avoid damage / scratch the surface.


Clean Up Spill As Soon As It Occurs
Do not use cold water on hot surface as it will create thermal shock that can reduce the life span of the glass. Handle carefully when surface is hot.


Clean The Bottom Of Cookware
Cleanliness of the cookware's bottom is very important as it will affect the heating efficiency.


Do Not Drag Heavy Cookware On The Hob
Always lift cookware off and never slide or drag across the hob surface as they might cause scratches and damage.

Which types of cookware are compatible with your electric hob?

RUBINE electric hob (ceramic type) features a large 26cm heating zone to accommodate various cookware. Please note that Induction hob only compatible to magnetic base cookware.


Smoke
Why does my oven appear white smoke when I turn it on at maxium temperature?

It is normal for first time heating. The smoke will be disppeared eventually. The smoke comes from a protective coating of oil that is used during the manufacturing process.

Checking Oven Door Gasket
From time-to-time, please check the gasket to ensure the gasket is in good condition. If the gasket is not in good condition, please contact our after-sales department for replacement of new gasket so that it won't affect the heat efficiency of oven.

Use the right degreaser and method to clean the oven glass door. Handle with care as the glass is hot after using the oven.


The Oven Knobs
Oven knobs and the surrounding areas typically get stained and can be hard to remove. A soft sponge and non-abrasive detergent is the best way to clean. Do not remove the oven knob during the cleaning process as you might accidently damage it.

Cleaning & Maintenance Tips
Filter cleaning

For smooth flow and purified water, wash the Water Filter Valve (a) and Hose Filter (b) thoroughly every month or when necessary.

Switch off water heater when not in use

Switch off water heater after every shower. This will minimise any electrical damage and also save electricity bill.

Check ELCB/RCCB regularly

Turn on the electricity and water supply to the heater. Pressing in the "Test" button. Both the "Power" & "Heater" indicator light must go off. Press the "Reset" button to resume power. Consult professional for repair if there is any mulfunction of ELCB/RCCB.

External water filter for your house water system

You are encourage to insall external water filter to maintain purity and optimum stability of water pressure for your showering experiences.

Troubleshooting
There is no water coming out of the heater

  • Check whether all stop valves are opened.
  • Check whether the water supply is there.
  • Check whether the pressure relief valve over tighten.
  • Check whether inlet water supply connected to pressure relief valve.

If any of the following abnormalities are present during usage, contact our service centres nearest to you or your sales agent immediately:
  • Water leakage.
  • Water temperature cannot be controlled.
  • Power and heating light does not light up.

The water heater is not working

  • Check whether power supply is ON.
  • Is the main lamp ON.
  • Is the heater lamp ON.
  • Is the adjustable temp.control ON.
  • Is the mixer tap connected correctly.

If any of the following abnormalities are present during usage, contact our service centres nearest to you or your sales agent immediately:
  • Water leakage.
  • Water temperature cannot be controlled.
  • Power and heating light does not light up.

The water is not hot enough

  • Is the adjustable temp.control turn to maximum.
  • Is the mixer tap adjusted correctly.
  • Is the water heater given enough time to heat up. (if the temp.reaches the preset temp., the red heater lamp will go OFF automatically).
  • Is the water heater capacity enough for the purpose.
